An artist-curated ecosystem for instrumental music Each volume, Northern Spy Records and Bob Holmes of SUSS invite eight artists to curate. Each contributes a new work, then brings two more voices into the fold — twenty-four artists, twenty-four tracks, one volume. Some of those artists go on to curate volumes of their own. The map only grows outward.
The core idea Discovery through curation. Across the Horizon isn’t simply releasing music — it’s documenting relationships between artists. Each volume, eight curators are invited in; each becomes a guide, pointing toward two peers who’ve shaped their own ear. Sometimes those peers become curators themselves, in this volume or the next. The network doesn’t fan out from one centre; it keeps opening new paths, drop after drop, volume after volume.
Drop 2 Luke Schneider invites Marisa Anderson Curating Volume One’s second drop, Schneider brought forward Kyle Hamlett Duo — and Marisa Anderson, who joins him on “first bounce fly fly fly.”
Drop 4 Marisa Anderson curates her own drop Two drops later, Anderson returns as a curator in her own right — introducing Charlie Parr and Emily Dix Thomas.

There is no ATH About page. The ATH landing IS the About — cards 0 and 1, “The idea” and “The core idea”, carry what an About page would say, which is why ATH’s nav has no About item. No About frame is owed and none should be built. Founded in 2010, Clandestine Label Services provides the people, expertise, and infrastructure independent labels and artists need to release music. Our team has helped bring more than 1,000 albums to market, providing PR, radio promotion, distribution, fulfillment, manufacturing, licensing, and hands-on label and project management for our own family of labels and a select group of outside clients. Services can stand alone or work together as a complete release team, built around what each record actually needs.

Three routes live on one shell: the star view (Starmap, verbatim), the label landing (12a — the shared four-label template; the lockup in the header goes there) and the flat pages — Artists index (3a) and Artist page (7d). Grid/Map is the switch between the two worlds: Map is the star view, Grid is the flat pages. Explore switches the label — Northern Spy, NNA, Egghunt and Whited Sepulchre share this one template; Across the Horizon is marked separate because it has its own. Across the Horizon is its own site inside the same shell — Explore → Across the Horizon walks into it: its own lockup, its own nav (Journal, Broadcast, a Subscribe pill), light by default. Home (15b), Subscribe (15g) and Broadcast (15h) are drawn; Journal, Releases, Artists, Artist page and the track page are stubbed behind the real chrome. Tour (7m), News (7l), About (7o) and the full-width Album page (7c) are their own routes now, reachable from the nav and the jump row. Phone is built and offered in the switcher: at 390 the map is a square field with the record as a bottom sheet at peek, half or full, Browse and the label menu arrive as sheets behind the ≡, and the transport drops its hover switch because there is no hover to arm — on desktop that switch is present and correct. This file is the phone reference; there are no separate phone frames.
